We are looking for community members to help prepare for VBS prior to the event:

Can you help create décor? --with Tokyo 2020 around this corner, this should be fun!
Can you help set up prior to VBS?
Can you put together registration bags?

Who Can Coach during the week of VBS?
1. JR Coaches:
6th -12th graders (station assistants, group leaders, pre-camp set up, creating decorations to be used during camp, setting up stations, skit and music performers, donut Sunday helpers). Service hours for honor societies, Confirmation requirements, etc. are available. Please see Requirements below if you are interested in being a Jr Coach.

2. Coaches:
Adults over 18 years of age who are Safe Environment Compliant. Half price registration for all children pre-school-5th grade with a maximum registration cost of $40 per family. Please see the Requirements below if you are interested in being a Coach.

Donut Sunday Volunteer
If you would like to help out but are not available during the week of VBS we need helpers to make our Donut Sundays a success. The funds raised through Donut donations help us keep VBS costs down for families. To help with Donut Sunday you do not need to be Safe Environment Compliant. Email vbs@stveronica.net if you are able to help with a Donut Sunday. Donut Days available: March 29th, May 31st, July 12th, August 30. Thank you to ALL volunteers!

Support our Ministry by donating items
If you do not have a lot of time to donate, but would still like to support our mission to Know, to Love, and to Serve God by helping our children build relationships with Jesus and each other, we have a place for you!

I've created a sign-up genius for the snack station which will allow a parishioners to participate in our ministry and support our youngest community members. Snacks need to be delivered to the Church on (for fresh fruit items) or before (for other items) July 16th.

Junior Coaches: Attend 3 meetings which will be used to meet and bond as Jr. Coaches, but also involve life lessons:

Requirements for Coaches During VBS Week:
For Junior & Adult Coaches:

Five Half-Days – (Time Commitment) Adult volunteers must be present for each day (M-F) of Vacation Bible School week from 8:20 am – 12:30 pm. If you are unavailable for all five days, we can try partner you with someone for a job share. If you can find a job share partner, that would be great!
For Adult Coaches:
Anyone 18 years and older must comply with the Arlington Diocese's child protection requirements in order to be able to volunteer with Vacation Bible School. There are two steps.
1.) Prospective volunteers must clear a background check. To start the process, follow this link to create an online account to complete the electronic background check documents: https://www.arlingtondiocese.org/child-protection/. When prompted, indicate that your location is "St. Veronica Catholic Church" [not School], and that your position is "V-Vacation Bible School."
2.) Within 45 days of submitting the online electronic documents, volunteers must attend a Virtus training seminar. Sign up for a session at www.virtus.org.

Please note, the background check and clearance process takes approximately 4-6 weeks.
